Getting your fruits and vegetables through the Talley Farms CSA program is a wonderful way for consumers to buy seasonal food directly from a local farmer. CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and is a great way to support your local farm community. You receive a box that has about 9-12 different fruits and vegetables at a tremendous value. You can pick up your box of farm fresh fruits and vegetables at over 40 locations throughout the central coast.
My CSA box always has a generous amount of fresh produce that I use in my daily recipes. You can get a CSA box weekly or every other week. They even have a junior size box now for smaller families. You can use their “hold” program for the weeks that you don’t want deliveries by logging into your account and placing a hold on the week (s) you don’t want a delivery. It’s simple!
I love how fresh the produce is and how long it lasts compared to store bought or even Farmer’s Market products. Tally Farms also supplies “Tip Sheets” on handling and storing your items to get the longest life out of them in every box.
Delish-dish is now partnering with Talley Farms Fresh Harvest to bring you the latest in recipe ideas. You can search my Delish-Dish site by ingredient (s) to find all of the recipes that contain any of the produce in your CSA box. Or just peruse the site on your own. You’ll find great recipes, tips, and helpful comments.
