Hands down, Edith’s was our top rated restaurant in Cabo! We enjoyed many wonderful meals at a diverse group of restaurants, but all six in our group voted Edith’s as our top pick. The ambiance was devine, the service; spectacular and the food was incredible. I found Edith’s to offer the best all around experience from beginning to end!
In 1977, at the age of 15, Edith started working in this restaurant, previously known as “Esthela’s by the Sea”. In 1994 she became the owner and named it after herself.

The restaurant had an indoor/outdoor feel and was decorated in vibrant colors. As a special consideration, each chair was outfitted with a Mexican blanket on the back to use as needed. The whole ambiance was very festive!
We were presented with a platter of the evening’s protein selections and it included one of the largest steaks I have ever seen! Our hosts brought wine for us to share from Adelaida Cellars in Paso Robles and it was such a treat to enjoy great wine and a departure from tequila based drinks for a bit.
Our meal began with an amuse bouche from the chef. It was crisp, light and delightful.
One of our first courses was a Caesar Salad prepared table side. On their menu they report that the original Caesar Salad was created by two Italian brothers, Alex & Caesar Cardini in their Tijuana restaurant in the late 1920’s. This was a new fact for me so I googled it and found out that it was true and that Caesar Cardini did not use pieces of anchovy in the salad. He used Worcestershire sauce for the anchovy-like flavor as he was opposed to using anchovies in his salad.
Our other starters were an Organic Arugula Salad made with arugula, parmesan cheese, cherry tomatoes stuffed with goat cheese (I am definitely going to do this:), bell peppers, pear, parsley and avocado served with a dressing made with roasted tomatoes, olive oil and herbs.
Taquitos, lettuce leaf with lobster, Puerto Nuevo. These were different than what you would expect of a taquito, in that it was homemade corn tortillas lightly toasted topped with chunks of lobster and garnishes in a bed of lettuce leaves. Unusual and tasty.
The entrees were all delicious! As the photo’s show, we all opted for an item of seafood or fish. All were prepared to perfection with an array of delicious sauces and accompaniments. I allowed myself to indulge, ordering the lobster tails and they were sweet, tender and succulent – ecstasy in every bite!
After dinner, they politely offered us a damp hand towel – such a nice touch. Of course, we were not finished yet. On to their famous table side coffee drinks and dessert!
Now that we finished our wine, some of us were ready to try a taste of their fine selection of tequila. Myself, I opted for a fancy coffee drink. I wanted to enjoy more of their tableside service!
We ordered two share desserts for the table. Having been several days without chocolate, the obvious first choice was the Fondant de Chocolat. It was a molded chocolate pudding served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and garnished with several fruits and a pastry crisp. Our other selection was their Platanos Flameados con Helado para dos. Prepared tableside, a dish of sweet, caramelized bananas served with ice cream. No matter how full you might be, you would not be able to resist the deliciousness of this dessert!
What a treat to have saved the best for last, unintended as it was. The pristine beaches and warm, clear water will draw me back to Cabo and Edith’s will be number one of my list of restaurants to re-visit.

Great place. If I’m ever in Cabo again, I’d go to this place every night! And, it wasn’t any more expensive than any place that we went for dinner.
